Kirstie Alley astounded by placid partner

Kirstie Alley "can't believe" she wasn't hurt by her husband after she admitted having crushes on her co-stars.

The 61-year-old American actress clarified her recent revelations regarding John Travolta and Patrick Swayze.

During an interview with US talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, Kirstie emphasised that things never got physical between her and the leading men in question.

Kirstie kept her husband at the time Parker Stevenson aware of her infatuations with the hunky Hollywood stars.

"He knew about it then - I told him as we went along," Kirstie said to host Jimmy. "I can’t believe he didn’t kill me. He should’ve... he hit me with a towel one day and I went down with a towel."

The Veronica's Closet star said her husband was tolerant of her crushes. Kirstie found this strange, as had the tables been turned she wouldn't have found it so easy to brush off.

"I would’ve kicked the f**k out of him!" Kirstie laughed to Jimmy.

Kirstie was forced to explain her relationship with Patrick and John after her recent controversial admissions in her new book, The Art of Men (I Prefer Mine al Dente). Although she hinted at romantic affairs with these iconic Hollywood legends in her text, Kirstie firmly stated her love for the stars never manifested itself physically.

"I didn't say the word affair, ever, it wasn't sexual affairs," Kirstie stuttered.

"It's a little hard not to confuse the boundaries. When you're on a set for six months, the lines get blurred. You see stars get divorced everyday because people do have sex, Jimmy!"
