(Cover) - EN Movies - Jack Nicholson is reportedly being courted to play Robert Downey Jr.’s father on the big screen.

The 75-year-old acting legend is at the top of the list for Warner Bros. drama The Judge, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film stars and is being developed by Robert, who is said to be among those wooing the notoriously picky star for the role.

Jack has reportedly been approached with an unofficial offer.

Nick Schenk penned the screenplay, about a “successful attorney who returns to his hometown for his mother's funeral only to discover that his Alzheimer's-stricken father is the murder suspect,” according to the publication.

The attorney, played by Robert, must then represent his father in court.

David Dobkin is directing the film.

Despite being in high demand, Jack has starred in only a handful of films in the last decade, including 2006 crime thriller The Departed and The Bucket List in 2007.

He reportedly turned down his mobster role in The Departed several times before finally singing onto the project after meeting with director Martin Scorsese and his would-be co-star Leonardo DiCaprio.

Jack’s last movie was 2010 romantic comedy How Do You Know.
