Robert Pattinson wishes he had directed the Twilight sex scenes as he would have secretly included a walrus.
The actor has discussed how he would have ramped up the excitement in the vampire franchise's romantic scenes.
The 26-year-old star joked he'd love to surprise the cast and crew by springing something unexpected on them.
"I would have quite liked to direct the sex scene," Robert joked to BBC Radio One. "I would put it on the last day of the schedule and then say, 'I have to have a closed set and no-one looking at the cameras or anything.' And then just put a walrus in instead. And then not tell anyone in the studio until it comes out and that's the big highly-anticipated scene."
The British actor is currently promoting the final instalment from the series, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2. He portrays Edward Cullen who is married to Bella, played by Robert's real-life girlfriend Kristen Stewart.
He claims love making scenes are generally easier for actors than kissing ones, as lip-locking brings more room for injury.
"Kissing is harder than love making scenes because generally you have to get really in there. You can't kiss as you normally kiss, it's weird," Robert laughed.
"You have a one in three chance of smashing someone's tooth out. And everyone always wants to do it quickly and it smashes your lip up and your eyeball. It's really hard!"
Robert finds his sex symbol status hard to understand. In particular he finds it strange when Twilight fans find the things Edward says attractive.
"I say, 'We're the same temperature now,' how's that a sexy line'" Robert joked to British radio station Capital FM. "[If Mila Kunis said it to me] I would be like, 'No we're not, I've got high blood pressure!'"
