Russell Brand was involved in a minor car accident on Thursday morning.

The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star was driving his Range Rover in Hollywood, California at approximately 9am when he crashed into a homeless man’s shopping cart, TMZ reports.

The comedian was seen jumping out of his vehicle and helping the man, whose belongings were strewn across the street.

No one was reported injured.

The incident marks the latest road mishap for Russell, 37.

The actor is facing a $25,000 lawsuit filed by a man who claims the comedian drove into him earlier this year in Los Angeles.

Plaintiff Victor Sneed claims he suffered personal injury, property damage, lost wages and incurred hospital bills as a result of the January incident. He is suing for more than $25,000.

Russell faced another legal issue in March after allegedly snatching an iPhone from a photographer and throwing it through a window while walking down a street in New Orleans.

The British star turned himself into police and plead not guilty to misdemeanour criminal damage. He was ordered to pay $500 in court fees and perform 20 hours of community service.
