Kardashian ‘handcuffed to Humphries’

Kim Kardashian’s lawyers believe that her drawn-out divorce from Kris Humphries is “a fishing expedition”.

The reality star is in the process of divorcing from the professional basketball player, who she split from just 72 days after they wed last year.

Kim is currently in a committed relationship with Kanye West and reportedly wants to marry the musician.

Her lawyer Laura Wasser desires for this saga to end quickly.

"Ms. Kardashian is now handcuffed to Kris Humphries," Laura stated a Los Angeles Superior Court Wednesday.

"These delays are forcing her to be married. She wants to dissolve her marriage so she can move on with her life. I don't think [Kris] has a case, it's a fishing expedition."

Apparently Kris believes that Kim went into their marriage knowing it would end quickly.

He asserts in court documents that she “had no intent of being married" and they wed "for the benefit of her TV show."

Kim’s attorney disputes these claims and refuses to settle out of court.

"We want a trial because that's the only way this will end,” Laura told People magazine outside the courthouse.

“There was no fraud."

Kim and Kris’ divorce trial will begin February 15 2013.
