Jean-Baptiste joins All You Need Is Kill

(Cover) - EN Movies - Marianne Jean-Baptiste has reportedly signed on to play a key role in All You Need Is Kill.

The actress will star alongside Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt and Bill Paxton in director Doug Liman’s upcoming sci-fi action movie.

Variety reports that Marianne will portray Dr. Whittle, a scientist.

In the film, Tom plays Lt. Col. Bill Cage – an officer who has never seen live combat and is handed a dangerous mission to defeat a deadly alien race called Mimics. Cage is quickly killed in battle and reawakens to realise he is trapped in a time loop and has to re-live the same day all over again.

Doug is helming the picture from a screenplay by Dante Harper, based on the acclaimed novel All You Need is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka.

This is the first movie to shoot at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the UK.

Marianne will next be seen in thriller The Moment and the RoboCop remake.

All You Need Is Kill will be released in theatres March 14, 2014.
