Rancic considered giving up career for baby

Giuliana Rancic considered giving up her career for her newborn son.

The E! News host and her husband Bill welcomed their son Edward Duke into the world at the end of August.

She took some time off work afterwards to be with her family and bond with her son.

But the 38-year-old new mother seems to resent returning to her day job in a new episode of reality show Giuliana & Bill that aired on Tuesday.

"I'm sad. Today I have to leave for Tampa, Florida to sell my clothing line on HSN, then I go directly to Los Angeles for the Emmys," she says.

"I knew this day was coming - that it was inevitable, but I have to be honest: I'm not ready."

The clip was filmed four weeks after Giuliana and Bill welcomed their little bundle via a surrogate mother.

But as the couple debated whether or not she should continue her career, Giuliana seemed to have already made up her mind.

"Maybe I should quit right now! I don't want to go," she says.

For now, Giuliana remains at her post at E!
