Michelle Williams in for The Double Hour

(Cover) - EN Movies - Michelle Williams is reportedly in talks to star in romantic thriller The Double Hour.

The Academy Award-nominated My Week with Marilyn actress will be the first major casting in this American remake should she decide to take on the project.

According to The Wrap, Fox Searchlight has hired producers Nicola Giuliano and Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment to put together this English-speaking adaptation of Italian director Giuseppe Capotondi’s 2009 hit La Doppia Ora.

The Double Hour’s plot centres on the romance between a former cop and a maid who fall in love at a speed-dating event. The couple are ambushed at the home of the police officer’s employer by gangsters and it is later revealed that the maid may have had something to do with the crime.

Maria Full of Grace’s Joshua Marston will helm the film from a script he penned himself.

Michelle will next be seen in Oz: The Great and Powerful, which will be released in theatres in March 2013.
