Kristen Stewart revealed that she felt so unclean shooting On the Road she would think about showering "all the time".
The actress described how dirty the cast got making the new movie adaptation of the American travelling novel.
Kristen would look forward to the end of the day when she could wash out the smells of alcohol and smoke that plagued the authentic movie shoot.
"I did enjoy showering at the end of the day," Kristen revealed to Refinery 29. "If we were actually taking that trip, it would be the grimiest. I used to think about that all the time. So, I was glad to not go there."
The kooky star continued to share her memories of the time spent on set making the movie with co-stars Garrett Hedlund and Sam Riley. She revealed one of the most poignant occasions was at the end of the shoot where she was left with an impression of absence rather than memory of a time they spent together.
"I think probably at the end of the shoot. It's funny, one of my favourite moments is Garrett not being there. He had to go do something and I had finished doing a scene that his character was not present for, and it was just kind of perfect," Kristen continued. "His absence was very poignant. The fact that it was my last scene in the entire the movie, saying goodbye to Walter [Salles, director] and taking a picture in the middle of a completely empty road in the desert. It was excruciating, but at the same time, kind of what I instantly think about."
