Amy Adams enjoyed working with Henry Cavill as he is "easy on the eye".

The actress is gearing up for the release of Man of Steel, which sees Henry play Clark Kent/Superman and Amy portray love interest Lois Lane.

The picture will hit screens in the summer and Amy is excited to see what people make of the new take on the traditional story.

"It's Superman time this year. Man of Steel was an epic one to film. Henry [Cavill], my co-star, carried the load on that one, but he did an amazing job and is so easy on the eye. Soooo easy on the eye," she swooned to Company magazine.

Amy has received a best supporting actress nomination at this year's Oscars for her role in The Master. It's the fourth time she has received an Academy Award nod, although she is yet to take home a golden statue.

Although she is thrilled to be in the running against the likes of Sally Field, Anne Hathaway, Helen Hunt and Jackie Weaver, awards aren't what drive Amy. Instead she relishes the chance to work with the best in the business on movies which really speak to her.

"I've learnt from all the actors I've worked with," she explained. "Meryl Streep was amazing in Julie & Julia, as was Philip Seymour Hoffman during The Master. And it was great to see Kristen Stewart work in On the Road - she had such a gentle spirit. It was really great to get to know her."
