Hugh Grant says he is “thrilled” to have become a father for the second time.

The British actor welcomed his first baby, a daughter called Tabitha, into the world following a romance with former model Tinglan Hong in 2011. Hugh took to his Twitter page on Saturday afternoon to confirm he now has a baby son to add to his brood.

“In answer to some journos. Am thrilled my daughter now has a brother,” he wrote. “Adore them both to an uncool degree. They have a fab mum.”

Tinglan is 19 years younger than the Hollywood star.

Last year, during an interview on a US TV talk show, 52-year-old Hugh explained he was relishing fatherhood.

The Four Weddings and a Funeral star was more than happy to gush about his baby daughter Tabitha.

“It’s surprising that everyone was right all these years,” he revealed. “[People were] saying, ‘Hugh, why don’t you have some children? It changes your life.’ And, you’re thinking, ‘Oh, shut-up!’ And now that I have [a child], it is life changing. I recommend it. Get some.”

Hugh has never married, but his previous girlfriends include model-and-actress Elizabeth Hurley and socialite Jemima Khan.

The actor has remained close friends with Elizabeth and shortly after the birth of his first child, he hinted he asked the beauty to be godmother after she seemingly helped to organise Tabitha’s christening.
