Alec Baldwin has been accused of verbally attacking two newspaper staff, telling a reporter he hopes she "chokes to death".
The 30 Rock star was allegedly approached by a writer from the New York Post yesterday while walking his dogs outside his East 10th Street abode at around 10.50am.
When reporter Tara Palmeri asked the actor for a comment on a negligence lawsuit surrounding his yoga teacher wife Hilaria, Alec is said to have reacted badly.
According to the US publication, Alec "grabbed the reporter by her arm and told her, 'I want you to choke to death.'"
The writer in question is said to have played a recording of the Hollywood star's threatening behaviour to police.
However, the altercation didn't end there. In a police statement filed by the Post's photographer and retired NYPD detective G.N. Miller, Alec called him a “c**n, a drug dealer," after taking a photo of the actor with reporter Tara.
Miller also alleges in his formal statement that he showed Alec his ID to prove his retired police status, but the 54-year-old star "dismissed it as fake".
“He was saying some serious racist stuff. He said some choice words about my mother, and he was telling people in the street that I’m a drug dealer," he added.
“He could have said a lot of other stuff. But he used all of the stereotypes associated with black people.”
Alec's spokesperson has denied the claims against him, saying the accusations are “completely false," with the actor revealing in a statement: "That’s one of the most outrageous things I’ve heard in my life.’’
Police were called to the scene and both men filed harassment claims.
Alec took to Twitter to moan about the photographer - who he names "Ralston" - before swiftly deleting the posts.
“Thank u 2 NYPD officers who came to my home 2day so that I could file a formal complaint against NY Post “photographer’’ who assaulted me. Moments after I tweet about the Post, Ralston, the ex-crackhead ‘photographer’ shows up at my door w 1 of Murdoch’s nieces in tow. Ralston claims he’s ex NYPD!! That can’t be!!! Ex NYPD don’t become crackhead, ex jailhouse paparazzi! (sic)," the star wrote, according to the Post.
It isn't the first time Alex has had a spat with a photographer.
Last year, he was accused of attacking two photographers in New York City.
When Alec allegedly "grabbed" a second photographer, Marcus Santos told the Hollywood star to leave him be.
“I said, ‘Don’t touch him.' I knew he was going to attack me. I stepped back, and he kept coming," he recounted. “He comes after me, starts shoving and punching me - one time, right in the chin. And then he started shoving me, and pushing me. Then he goes the other way."
