(Cover) - EN Movies - Leonardo DiCaprio is set to produce and perhaps star in 1930s movie drama The Road Home.

Deadline reports that Warner Bros studio has acquired the upcoming Michael Armour novel and will shape the adapted drama as a “potential star vehicle” for Leonardo.

Crazy Heart scribe Scott Cooper will direct and write the script.

According to ComingSoon.net, The Road Home is a depression era drama focusing on a “war scarred rancher” named Creek on the Central California coast.

Creek is asked to “investigate the brutal murder of a local man” in a case which local police have ignored, the website adds.

He soon finds himself “entangled in scandal.”

Leonardo worked with Mr Cooper on forthcoming Christian Bale drama Out of the Furnace which he produced.

Although the Django Unchained star recently said he was talking a “long break” from acting, he will be appearing in two movies this year.

He stars in Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street and Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby.
