Eva Longoria was crazy about Ricky Martin

Eva Longoria was almost lost for words when she first met Ricky Martin, because the Livin' la Vida Loca star was her first major crush.

The twice-married Latina, who recently became engaged to Mexican businessman Jose 'Pepe' Baston, tells WENN she was smitten with Ricky as a kid and had posters of the singer all over her bedroom wall.

"Ricky Martin was my first crush growing up," she explains. "When I met him, I was like, 'You don't understand, I loved you so much growing up!'"

Ricky has since 'come out' about his sexuality, so Eva realises any thoughts about a romance with him were pointless - and anyway, she has now found the man of her dreams in Baston, who proposed to the actress during a vacation in Dubai last month (Dec15).

He used camels and birds to create the perfect, romantic desert proposal, and now Eva can't wait to see what her new fiance has planned for Valentine's Day next month (Feb16).

"I don't know what our Valentine plans are yet," she adds. "I'm a very romantic person, but actually Pepe is way more romantic than I am; he's very thoughtful. I just love to make people happy, mostly my partner."

She's just glad she's no longer a teenager having to deal with the most romantic day of the year - or worse still, a mum to a pressured kid.

"Can you imagine giving a Valentine to someone and they don't like it," she scowls. "The pressure of kids who have to hand out Valentines: 'I don't want to mum, he's gonna think I like him!'"
