Patrick Dempsey calls off divorce

Actor Patrick Dempsey and his estranged wife Jillian Dempsey have reportedly called off their divorce.

The former Grey's Anatomy star and the make-up artist announced their split a year ago (Jan15), with Jillian filing for divorce from Patrick after 15 years of marriage.

However, over the past few months, the two have been spotted in public together, sparking rumours of reconciliation. After showing his support for Jillian as she received an award at the Marie Claire Image Maker Awards last week (12Jan16), she took to Instagram and posted a photo of the estranged couple together in honour of the actor's 50th birthday.

And now, an insider tells People magazine the pair has no plans to follow through with the divorce, stating, "For the past year, Patrick and Jillian have been working on getting to where they are right now. They are not dating anyone else, and only each other."

The source adds, "They seem very happy and are spending a lot of time together. They go on dates and are also involved with the kids together. The divorce made Patrick miserable. It was definitely a wake-up call. There are no more divorce plans. Patrick and Jillian plan on being a family again."

Patrick and Jillian are parents to daughter Tallula, 13, and twin sons Sullivan and Darby, eight.

Before tying the knot with Jillian, Patrick was married to fellow actor and acting coach Rochelle "Rocky" Parker from 1987 until 1994.

However Patrick has previously spoken about how happy Jillian made him.

“The best part about being married is feeling centered," he said. "Nothing else matters so much as long as you can come home and be with your family."
