Bobby Cannavale and Rose Byrne have welcomed a son.
The Hollywood pair announced the news over the weekend (06-07Feb16), when 45-year-old Bobby appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. He revealed Rose, 36, actually gave birth on 1 February, and while he kept details to a minimum, he did confirm they’d named the tot Rocco.
"I had a baby on Monday, yes," he smiled. "You know, I didn't do anything. We (men) don't do anything and I'm so tired. I think I've gained 28 pounds since Monday. I mean, I'm not kidding you. Like, this jacket fit so well, like, last Thursday. But I've been eating so much."
He also let slip the baby’s gender, when explaining a story about how he was given a diaper cake by a friend. When his pal handed him the gift, he did so by saying “For your boy”.
Rose and Bobby have been dating since 2012. News broke they were expecting their first child in October (15) when Australian actress Rose stepped out with a baby bump proudly on display.
The baby is Rose’s first, but Bobby is already father to son Jake, 20, from his marriage to screenwriter Jenny Lumet, which ended in 2003.
Bobby and Rose have worked together numerous times over the years, including on 2015 movie Spy. While not all couples would enjoy the experience of being on set together, Rose has said it works for them.
"(It) is a very intense thing you can experience together," she previously told People magazine. "It's not for everybody, but I think he's such a great actor."
