Kate Winslet jokes a film about her life would feature a lot of acts, as she's been married several times.

The British actress has romanced some famous men over the years, previously tying the knot with directors Jim Threapleton and Sam Mendes. She's currently married to Ned Rocknroll, with whom she has son Bear, and isn't immune to seeing the entertainment her turbulent relationship history presents.

"Oh, my God. Well, I've been married three times, so there's a start!" she grinned to Britain's OK! magazine when quizzed on which three moments she'd use in a movie about herself. "I think my life would have to be told in a lot of acts."

Kate is no stranger to starring in films based on reality, with movies including Finding Neverland about Peter Pan writer J. M. Barrie and the Steve Jobs biopic under her belt. In the latter she plays marketing executive for Apple, Joanna Hoffman, alongside Michael Fassbender in the title role. Kate underwent a dramatic physical transformation for the role, which she won after sending a selfie to director Danny Boyle.

"I look absolutely nothing like Joanna Hoffman. So, I thought, 'I have to make myself look like Joanna Hoffman and maybe they'll send me the script,'" Kate recalled. "My lovely husband went to a wig shop and he bought a couple of wigs - one short and one mid-length - and I took all the make-up off my face, put on some glasses, styled the short, dark-haired wig into Joanna's style, took a photo of myself, and sent it to them."

Fortunately the quirky method paid off and the part has seen her nominated for her seventh Oscar. Kate previously took home a golden statuette for her role in 2008 movie The Reader.
