Jennifer Lopez is piling on the work following her latest love split by developing a new TV legal drama.

The superstar hit headlines on Wednesday (24Aug16) when it was revealed she had ended her on/off relationship with boyfriend Casper Smart after five years, and now it appears she will be throwing herself into her work as she adjusts to the single life.

JLo has landed a new deal with officials at U.S. network CBS to executive produce an as-yet-untitled legal drama via her Nuyorican Productions company, reports Variety.com.

The show was created by Royal Pains' writer/producer Michael Rauch, and follows identical twin brothers who have little in common, but team up to fight cases in the courtroom.

It's the latest new project added to Lopez's slate - she is working on a reality series, titled World of Dance, a historical drama retracing the steps of Latinos in California, and is set to produce and star in a TV movie about the rise and fall of Colombian cartel leader Griselda Blanco.

In addition, the 47-year-old, who also has a concert residency in Las Vegas, pulls double duty on her police drama Shades of Blue, which she is currently shooting in New York, and works behind the scenes on family show The Fosters.

Jennifer has yet to comment on her break-up with former backing dancer Casper, 29. The couple began dating in late 2011, but they briefly parted ways in 2014 and 2015, before reconciling once more.

They recently called time on their romance yet again, but an insider claimed the split was amicable.

"It (their split) wasn't anything dramatic and they were on good terms - it just came to a natural end," the source added to People.com. "They will remain friends and they see each other, but they are not together. It was very amiable."
