Anne Hathaway to star in Jenny Mollen book adaptation

Anne Hathaway is set to star in a film adaptation of actress/author Jenny Mollen's bestselling book, Live Fast Die Hot.

The wife of American Pie star Jason Biggs released the collection of personal essays, which detailed experiences from her crazy youth to becoming a first-time mum, in June (16), and now bosses at Warner Bros. studios have picked up the rights to the project, with Anne as the lead.

The Oscar winner will help to develop the film with producer Gail Berman, while Mollen will serve as executive producer, according to Deadline.com.

A release date has yet to be set.

It's Mollen's second book adapted for the screen. Her 2014 memoir, I Like You Just The Way I Am: Stories About Me and Some Other People, is being turned into a new TV comedy for America's ABC network.

Meanwhile, Live Fast Die Hot is Anne's latest new venture after becoming a mother in March (16). She just signed on as part of the Ocean's Eleven spin-off movie, the all-female Ocean's Eight, in which she will reportedly star alongside Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Helena Bonham Carter, and rapper/actress Awkwafina. Sarah Paulson also recently entered talks to complete the line-up of leading ladies.

The movie will be directed by Gary Ross and produced by filmmaker Steven Soderbergh, who directed George Clooney and Brad Pitt in the Ocean's Eleven 2001 remake of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin's 1960 heist caper.

Plot details surrounding Ocean's Eight are currently under wraps, but much like the 2001 instalment, the premise of the film revolves around a big Las Vegas robbery.
