Renee Zellweger was reportedly forced to testify as part of her boyfriend Doyle Bramhall II's ongoing child support battle with his ex-wife.

The Bridget Jones's Diary actress, who has been dating the blues musician since 2012, has been roped into the legal spat by Doyle's ex-wife, the singer/songwriter Susannah Melvoin, who he split from in 2010 after 13 years of marriage.

Doyle and Susannah, who was once dated the late rocker Prince, have been embroiled in a dispute over child support for their 15-year-old daughter India, and Susannah got Renee involved by filing documents requesting information about the actress' income, business deals and living expenses be admitted as evidence in the case in a bid to prove that musician Doyle leads a lavish lifestyle, according to TMZ.com.

The 47-year-old fired back with her own legal documents claiming her personal and professional live are separate from her partner's case and wanted to stop Susannah's attempts to pry into her private life and bring attention to it in court.

However, Renee was made to testify in the case but reportedly only spoke about various gifts she had bought for Doyle, also 47.

The actress made her movie comeback with Bridget Jones's Baby earlier this year (16) following a six-year hiatus, which she decided to take in 2010 because her personal life was suffering due to her intense work schedule.

“I needed to stop,” she told Red magazine. “It was time. I’m a working girl, but I did save so that, when it was time for me to take a minute, I could visit my parents. I spent time with my brother and his children. I made a home for myself. I fell in love with somebody.”

She has previously dated Bradley Cooper, been engaged to Jim Carrey, and was briefly married to country music singer Kenny Chesney. Their union was annulled four months after their 2005 wedding.
