Jonathan Rhys Meyers' partner Mara Lane has confirmed the couple are set to welcome their first child together.
Her pregnancy was first rumoured back in September (16), but neither Jonathan or Mara commented on the claims at the time. But on Sunday (11Dec16), Mara posted pictures of her burgeoning bump on her Instagram page, confirming the happy news.
"“#IncomingPackage best present. #ThankYouLord #SantaBelly," Mara captioned one picture, alongside praying, angel and monkey emojis.
While Mara didn't reveal how far along she is in the pregnancy, it was claimed in September that she was 28 weeks' pregnant. And judging by one snap of Mara bump to bump with Father Christmas, the couple's bundle of joy is due any day now.
Alongside another picture of her showing off her bump in a floral dress while reclining in a hammock, Mara wrote: “My official pregnancy dress. I have worn this 1-2x a week every week for past 5 months. It was 3 euros in a charity shop in Ireland. I love #recycled clothes. #Recycledclothes over fast fashion any day for me."
A third picture of Mara cradling her bump while wearing a pink paisley dress and standing next to a Christmas tree had the caption: “Our other official prego wego dress. Found in #Amsterdam #Noordermarkt for 15 euros, yes please. Every other day I dunno as I have other dresses but Baby likes these ones ... is super conscious, connected & aware. Has not let me eat much meat entire pregnancy either ... has me thinking about things I'd rather live in ignorance to. Angel alien baby about to rock my world I already know #thankful for my soon to be best teacher and friend."
Jonathan and Mara were rumoured to be engaged in December, 2014 after she wore what appeared to be an engagement ring at the 25th Annual KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas concert in Los Angeles.
But in September (16), it was reported the couple has secretly tied the knot earlier this year. According to the Irish Sun website, former The Tudors star Jonathan wore a gold band on his wedding finger when he posed for a photoshoot in June (16) and was wearing the same piece of jewellery in a picture on Mara's Instagram. She also recently changed the name of the account, which she shared with her dog Toca, to "Mara & Toca Lane Rhys Meyers".
