Angelina Jolie is set to make a major Hollywood comeback with a string of new projects.

The 41-year-old actress and filmmaker has steered clear of Tinseltown of late, choosing instead to focus on her six children following her shock split from actor Brad Pitt last September (16).

Though it appears Jolie will soon be making a silver screen return, as she is slated to appear onscreen in three upcoming releases; World War II spy drama The Spy Who Loved, a sequel to Disney's 2014 hit Maleficient and an adaptation of Simon Sebag Montefiore's book Catherine the Great and Potemkin: The Imperial Love Affair.

In addition, the Academy Award-winner has signed on to be a producer of Disney children's film, The One and Only Ivan, while she is also reported to be quietly working away on what might be her next project as a director, an adaptation of Alessandro Baricco's novel Without Blood, which details the cruelties of war.

Jolie had a strong performance as a director with her 2014 film Unbroken, which earned $116 million at the U.S. box office, though had less success with 2015 drama By the Sea.

However, it appears she has pulled out of a planned role in Kenneth Branagh's Murder on the Orient Express, and is no longer interested in making conservationist drama Africa with her estranged husband Pitt.

The star is currently promoting her latest film, First They Killed My Father, a Netflix exclusive drama set during Cambodia's deadly Khmer Rouge regime. Jolie, who directed the movie adaptation of Cambodian human rights activist Loung Ung's autobiography, premiered the film in Siem Reap on Saturday (18Feb17).

Shown at the Terrace of the Elephant in the ancient Angkor Thom temple complex, the movie was screened to the country's royal family, including King Norodom Sihamoni and Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, along with a host of senior government officials.
