Actress Rosario Dawson is calling on more fans to help make her Star Wars dreams come true by backing an online campaign to land her a role in a future project.

The Sin City star has become a major fixture in the Marvel comics TV adaptations as medic Claire Temple in Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist, but she would love to expand her role with the productions' parent company Disney and step into one of the planned Star Wars movies.

Fans of George Lucas' sci-fi franchise have already started pushing filmmakers to consider casting the comic book fan as Ahsoka Tano, who came to life as an animated Padawan heroine in TV series The Clone Wars, and the actress is backing the Internet campaign.

"Right now there's, like, a major campaign that's going on... online to try to get me into Star Wars, which would be amazing," she gushed during an appearance on U.S. breakfast show Good Morning America on Friday (21Apr17).

Disney executives have yet to comment on the idea, but Dawson is keeping her fingers crossed after discovering they follow her on Twitter.

"I'm like, 'I think it's a good sign!'" she exclaimed. "Internet help me out!"

It's not the only role fans think Rosario would be perfect for - last year (16), Rosario admitted she "would be honored to assume the responsibility" of the Hulk's cousin, She-Hulk, onscreen, after one Twitter user proposed the idea to her online.

Rosario is currently starring opposite Katherine Heigl and former Charlie's Angels pin-up Cheryl Ladd in the thriller Unforgettable, which hit cinemas in the U.S. on Friday (21Apr17).
