Channing Tatum misses nothing about his stripper past.

The 36-year-old drew on his past life as an exotic dancer for the Magic Mike movies, with his saucy former professional also used as inspiration for the live strip show revue in Las Vegas.

But in a new interview, Channing admitted he has absolutely no desire to return to his stripper ways. “I don’t miss anything about stripping,” he told People at the launch of Magic Mike Live! at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on Friday (21Apr17). "I stripped in Tampa for like 25 girls, at best. It wasn’t glamorous whatsoever, so there’s nothing that I miss about stripping. This isn’t stripping. This is a show.”

The show premiered on Friday and is described as “a sizzling 360 degree dance and acrobatic strip tease spectacular guaranteed to bring on the heat.” It features 13 performers who dance, sing, play piano, do acrobatics, and eventually take their clothes off.

The show, conceived and co-directed by Channing and the Magic Mike franchise's choreographer Alison Faulk, is very similar to the 2012 movie that inspired it, and the actor promised the audience won't be disappointed.

"Vegas is almost like an altar,” he laughed. “People come here to to release. It’s kind of like church. They release all their worries and get crazy … This is as good a place as any to do something crazy.”

"People in general are coming because they know the movies and they think they’re going to get something like they saw in the last film, and they’re going to get all that,” Channing said. “With this, we didn’t have any rules so we just started creating crazy sh*t and no one told us that wasn’t allowed."

The father-of-one attended the opening night of his Vegas revue with wife Jenna Dewan Tatum, who hinted she was interested in making a special appearance in the show.

"We might work together in this show if I have my way one day. There's a part in this show that I really want to do. Hopefully some day some audience will get a nice surprise," she teased.
