Chrissy Teigen made a "big mistake" agreeing to attend the Critics' Choice Awards the night after her husband John Legend's birthday party.

On Saturday night (13Jan19), the TV personality threw the All of Me singer a James Bond-themed party to celebrate his 40th birthday with friends including Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Kris Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian in attendance. And on Sunday, she admitted it probably wasn't the best idea to attend the awards show after such a big night.

"Why oh why god did I agree to the people or critics choice whatever it is the night after John’s party this was a big mistake huge yes this is a fancy problem," she tweeted. "The people critics is a good name."

The 33-year-old then shared a video of her lying in bed surrounded by food and said in a raspy voice, "Oh, my God, this is my bed, and I have to get ready for Critics' Choice. Wait, is it People's Choice? I seriously don't know."

After Chrissy had her red carpet makeover, she posted a video showing her sat in a car in a strapless white Maison Yeya dress and telling her followers, "This is huge mistake" as John can be heard laughing.

The couple told Entertainment Tonight they were "so tired" as they hit the red carpet at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, where Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, which John starred in, won Best Movie Made for Television.

However, their night didn't end there as they had to head to the Shrine Auditorium for a concert tribute to late Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin, where John was performing.

Showing off their new outfits, Chrissy wrote, "quick change, one more event please lord take me im not built for life off my couch corner". She later shared a video of her returning home and getting into bed and said she was "so happy".

John's 40th party, held weeks after his birthday on 28 December (18), was held at their home in Beverly Hills, which had been kitted out to look like a casino. John wore a white tuxedo and Chrissy looked like a Bond girl in a strapless gold sequinned gown, while their children Luna, two, and Miles, seven months, wore a ballerina dress and tuxedo respectively.
