Lili Reinhart has started treatment again for depression and anxiety.

The Riverdale star, 22, revealed on her Instagram Story that she had started therapy to tackle her mental health issues head on, and used her own experience to give others the reminder they might need to focus on their own health.

"Friendly reminder for anyone who needs to hear it: Therapy is never something to feel ashamed of," Reinhart wrote. "Everyone can benefit from seeing a therapist. Doesn't matter how old or 'proud' you're trying to be."

She pleaded with her fans and followers to seek help if they needed it, and said her decision to start therapy again was "self-love".

"We are all human. And we all struggle. Don't suffer in silence. Don't feel embarrassed to ask for help. I'm 22. I have anxiety and depression. And today I started therapy again. And so the journey of self-love begins for me," she shared.

Her post comes days after her boyfriend and Riverdale co-star, Cole Sprouse, credited her for "keeping him sane" in a sweet post on Instagram.

Reinhart previously explained to Entertainment Tonight that she tries to show her followers on social media that her life is far from glamorous, and doesn't want her fans to think she is trying to dupe them into thinking she's perfect.

“I try to (be open) because I'm not putting on a show,” she said. “I'm not trying to look perfect... my life in general is not extremely glamorous. I do a lot of really cool and glamorous things, but that's not my day to day. So I like to show off myself as being in my natural habitat, which is pretty much just in my bed, eating.”
