When I was offered to go and review Avengers: Endgame, I thought it would be a good way to keep up with the office conversations that would inevitably ensue following the release of this very last chapter. I am not an Avengers diehard fan but I watched the film with a room full of them and that was the most fun I’ve had at the movies for a while!

Luckily, the screening took place at the Cineworld IMAX, which means we all had a full experience watching the film, all three hours of it.
As #DontSpoilTheEndgame has been trending in the last couple of days, I’ll happily obliged and write a spoiler-free review. Just to tease you and urge you to go see the film.

Avengers: Endgame, directed by brothers Anthony and Joe Russo, is a fantastic tribute to a much-loved series. Whether you’re a fan of one specific character or of the whole universe, you will be pleased to see the story tie up with the unique sense of humour typical to the Avengers. There are a lot of Easter eggs, a lot of action, a lot of comebacks and a lot of emotions. A lot!
The whole theatre reacted throughout the film: cheering, gasping, laughing and crying. As a non-fan, I really enjoyed the movie and felt there was something for everyone (which is not something we can say about a lot of films these days). Unsurprisingly, I felt compelled to join my fellow movie buffs and found myself being really drawn into the story: I, too, wanted Thanos to be defeated; I, too, cheered when the good guys made progress and I, too, felt happy at the final outcome.

If you’re an Avengers fan, no doubt you’ve booked your tickets already and are eager to catch a screening this weekend. If you’re not an Avengers fan but want to make your money’s worth, go see the film and spend 3 hours jumping across worlds, timelines and stories, all with carefully and cleverly sprinkled humour.
And for a mind-blowing experience, by all means, go see it in IMAX: it’s absolutely totally worth it!
