Adam Levine is not at all interested in abandoning his band Maroon 5 to concentrate on “going solo”.

The singer has been involved in a number of creative ventures on his own of late. Adam has launched a new fragrance, served as mentor on US TV talent competition The Voice and has even acted in American Horror Story and upcoming movie Can a Song Save Your Life?

Although the star is happy to pursue other professional avenues, he is devoted to Maroon 5.

"If anything I'll probably make a record on my own with people doing some sort of interesting cover record or something like that, but it won't be me going solo," he explained to ET Canada.

"It'll be me doing something on my own and then returning to the band."

Adam has surprised himself with how well he performed opposite Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo in Can a Song Save Your Life?

The multitalented entertainer may do several more movies in the future as he has discovered that he actually likes to act.

"No one's going to say that guy sucks in that movie," Adam said.

"I'm really hard on myself so I knew that I would feel that gross feeling of like, 'Oh dude I'm never doing this again, I'm so bad.' And I wasn't. I didn't get that feeling."

Can a Song Save Your Life? is slated for release later this year.
