Ali Larter was mortified when a fan thanked her for appearing on screen in lingerie at a big event.

The 38-year-old star is best known for her turn as Niki Sanders and Tracy Strauss in Heroes and can now be seen in Legends, where she plays an FBI agent. Although she's been in the industry for some time it still has the ability to surprise her, as the star found at a recent event.

"I was at Comic-Con. There were 2,000 people packing the auditorium, and a guy stood up and thanks me for wearing lingerie in the [Legends] pilot. That definitely made me blush!" she laughed to People magazine.

As well as starring on TV Ali enjoys watching it and isn't immune to the trend for binge-watching. Most recently she hasn't been able to tear her eyes away from Scandal, which stars Kerry Washington as a lawyer who fixes problems for the rich and famous.

"Scandal. Since I finished filming, I've been allowing myself to have a couple of hours in the afternoon just to do whatever I want," she explained. "I'm rushing to my bedroom, closing the curtains and then ripping through episodes."

The actress does manage to leave the house sometimes though, and recently found herself chatting to a guy in a store because she was so astounded by his dress sense.

"A guy at the Genius Bar at the Apple store, because he had on a really cool Star Wars glow-in-the-dark T-shirt," she replied, when quizzed on who she last complimented. "I'm not a super geek for [Star Wars], but it's fun."
