Allison Williams' grandparents are blasé about her on-screen sex scenes.
The 26-year-old is back as uptight Marnie Michaels in the fourth season of Girls, alongside show creator Lena Dunham and stars Jemima Kirke, Adam Driver and Zosia Mamet.
One of the opening scenes in the new series is a daring tryst involving Allison and actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach. Allison had to endure watching it back next to her father at the premiere, but she admits it wasn't as bad as it seemed.
"It was totally fine. I worry much more about my grandparents, but even they are blasé about it. They get that I am acting," she smiled to British magazine Grazia.
"Every season, my attitude is: let's do this; let's keep making Marnie more complicated. And the scene - what is it? 15 seconds long? But you learn exactly where she is at."
Jemima, who plays troubled Jessa Johansson, is looking forward to fans watching the new series.
The actress has known Lena, who stars as Hannah in Girls, since their teenage years and feels comfortable enough to speak up when storylines hit a nerve.
"There's quite a lot of me in Jessa, and occasionally I have to pull Lena aside when storylines get a little too close to home," Jemima revealed.
Girls follows the lives of a group of 20-something women trying to navigate adulthood in New York City. In real life Jemima is approaching her 30th birthday and can sometimes feel a long way off from her on-screen alter ego.
"Because of having my children so young [Rafaella, four, Memphis, two], I already did. I have already done some of the things that other people might be trying to do in their thirties. But I am excited for my thirties, career-wise; I am excited for the confidence that I feel the thirties are going to bring," she smiled.
