Alyssa Milano won’t even consider divorce moving forward.

The 42-year-old actress shares two young children with David Bugliari, who she has been married to since 2009.

A number of celebrity couples have split this summer, including Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, as well as Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton, but Alyssa does not see a breakup happening between her and David at all in the future.

“[Divorce] is not an option,” she told ET Online. “[Marriage is] work, and there's no one I'd rather put in the work with. The most important thing is to laugh. If you can laugh with someone, you can get through anything.”

Alyssa has been divorced before, as she ended her union with singer Cinjun Tate in 1999 just ten months after they married.

However with David she is not even entertaining the thought of “splitting”, claiming he is “stuck” with her whether or not they are “miserable”.

Alyssa has even altered her career dramatically to ensure marriage with David works, as she stepped down from a role on TV series Mistresses last year to attend to family duties.

"It's hard enough to have a successful marriage in this industry. I'm not going to take my kids away from my husband for four months and move to Vancouver,” the star said.

Alyssa is parents daughter Elizabella and son Milo with her husband David.

She is open to picking up another scripted series in the future, but the show would have to work around her family.

"Who knows how I'm going to feel once [my kids are] in high school, and I feel like their little beings have been molded into what they're going to be and they can look at me and say, 'We're going to be OK,'" Alyssa said. "But for right now I have this window of opportunity to not only enjoy them, but also to make sure that I’m being a good parent and be a present parent. So, I'm going to do that.

“When you have these babies, that connection is so meant to be and so profound. You look at them and you go, 'Oh, this is why. This is why I went through everything I went through in my life.'"
