Amal Alamuddin’s relatives will supposedly be paying for her wedding to George Clooney.

The British attorney became engaged to the Hollywood A-lister in April.

And despite Oscar-nominated actor George being worth a reported $180 million, Amal’s “old-fashioned” family are said to be footing the bill of the lavish nuptials.

“Crazy enough, her family is paying for most of it!" a source told Us Weekly magazine.

The publication also reports Amal’s parents Ramzi and Baria have had a lot of involvement in the wedding, which will allegedly be taking place in Venice, Italy, on September 27.

Further details have been revealed about the pair’s upcoming big day.

George and Amal are reportedly set to mark the occasion alongside just 60 guests, including Matt Damon and Cindy Crawford.

Prior to their wedding day, George and Amal will apparently be celebrating at a “casual” dinner at the nearby Hotel Cipriani.
They will then head to the Aman Canal Grande Venice hotel, where they will become husband and wife at 11am, according to the publication.

But lodging at the establishment certainly doesn’t come cheap, with rooms at the seven-star hotel in the Palazzo Papadopoli costing between £1,000 to £3,200 per night.

Amal’s sister Tala is reportedly set to be her maid of honour, while Cindy’s husband Rande Gerber will take the role of George’s best man.

In addition, opera singer Andrea Bocelli, who recently performed at Kim Kardashian’s wedding to Kanye West, is allegedly set to be entertaining guests at the ceremony.

George revealed the pair would be marrying in Venice as he attended the Celebrity Fight Night in Florence, Italy, last weekend.

"I met my lovely bride to be here in Italy, whom I will be marrying in a couple of weeks, in Venice, of all places,” he told People.

George was presented with the Humanitarian Award at the black-tie event, held in support of the Andrea Bocelli Foundations and The Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center.
