Amanda Bynes has denied hurling a bong out of a window.

The troubled actress was arrested on Thursday night after reportedly throwing the item from her New York City apartment and into the street below.

However, the star claimed in court that the item was actually a vase.

Amanda was released from police custody on Friday morning the Manhattan District Attorney's Office told FOX 411.

Despite earlier being held on $1,000 bail, she was eventually allowed to go without having to pay the funds.

Instead she will have to return to court on July 9 to explain the incident.

The evening before, Amanda was taken into custody when she allegedly threw a device used for inhaling marijuana smoke from her building.

The home on West 47th Street in the Big Apple is where an official apparently called the police to complain about her rolling a joint in the shared lobby.

When law enforcement officers arrived at the property and reportedly saw smoke billowing, she was later charged with reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence and criminal possession of the drug.

It’s not clear whether Amanda had the advice of a lawyer but she was seen leaving her place wearing a platinum blonde wig.

She wore the hairpiece as well as the same jogging bottoms and a vest from the night before as she appeared in front of a judge on Friday.

The 27-year-old former child star has been gaining media attention lately for her outlandish ways.

She has posted a series of vulgar tweets, which have worried her parents and the public.

Amanda has also been involved in two hit-and-run cases in the last year as well as driving with a suspended licence.

She has been placed on three years’ probation for the latter incidence which emerged from driving under the influence.

It’s been claimed her mother and father have met with lawyers to see if she could be made the subject of a conservatorship order, like Britney Spears.
