Amanda Bynes claims she is taking her parents to court to "fight" them for control of her finances.

The 28-year-old was put under an involuntary hold earlier this month and entered a hospital in California. Despite reports the 5150 hold, which is used when people are deemed a danger to themselves and others, was extended by 30 days this week, it has now been lifted.

Pictures of Amanda out and about were posted on TMZ and she's now taken to Twitter to slam her parents, who are currently believed to hold a conservatorship, which puts them in charge of their daughter's finances. She also blasted Britney Spears' former manager Sam Lutfi, who claims he helped her mom and dad trick her into entering the facility earlier this month.

"I am going to court today with my lawyer to prove that I am more than capable of handling my personal life and finances and I am enraged," she tweeted.

"I got released from the hospital that Sam Lufti and my parents arranged to send me to because my dad is humiliated by what he's done

"I got a 4.0 grade point average at @FIDM and I am fully capable of taking care of myself and my finances and my parents just want to take (sic)"

Previously Amanda took to social media account to accuse her father of sexually abusing her. She later deleted the messages and claimed a microchip in her brain had caused her to post them, but it seems she's now going back on this.

"The police filed a report against my dad - I am not able to be in the same room with him. He is a sexual predator and he SHOULD BE IN JAIL," she continued.

"I am going to court with my lawyer today to fight my mother and father over control of my personal life and control of my finances (sic)"

She added that she wants people to know the "truth" about her and revealed plans to move to New York to study.

"Also Love Bugs, I look horrible right now because I had a procedure done under my eyes to remove micro cysts under my eyes, so I need to

"Wear a bandage To Court :) (sic)," she finished her series of messages.

Her parents Lynn and Rick previously obtained a conservatorship order over her last year, after Amanda was put under a 5150 hold. That time she has displayed erratic behaviour for weeks, culminating in her setting a fire in a stranger's driveway. She was put under the involuntary hold and then released into rehab, eventually going home to her parents and signing up to a fashion course.
