Amy Adams wishes she could read people's minds.

The actress embraced the popular superhero genre with her role as Lois Lane in Man of Steel. She'll be reprising the part in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and it's got her thinking about which superpower she'd love to have.

"I'd want to read people's minds!" she enthused to the German edition of Glamour magazine, adding that she generally has a tendency to be nosy.

"I love people watching and whenever I'm in a restaurant, I'll try and listen in to the conversations around me. It drives my fiancé [Darren Le Gallo] crazy, because it means I never listen to him! If I could read minds, we wouldn't have this problem!"

Amy and Darren have been together since 2002 and have four-year-old daughter Aviana together. Motherhood has changed the star a great deal and she's even managed to shake off some of her anxieties in light of her new role as protector.

"I am very scared of flying, am claustrophobic and have social anxiety," Amy confessed. "None of these have been officially diagnosed or are particularly extreme, but I recognise the symptoms in myself.

"Meditation and self-hypnosis help a lot, and when I am flying with my daughter, I don't let on that I'm scared. I worry more about her than myself now."

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits cinemas next year and stars Gal Gadot, Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck.
