Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt work hard to make sure their family stays connected.

The A-list couple raise a brood of six and are proud of the strong bonds they all share.

The children often accompany Angelina and Brad while shooting movies on location and have travelled the world with their showbiz parents.

“[Brad and I] work really hard at nurturing our family to make sure that everybody is alright and everyone stays connected,” Angelina told The Australian Women's Weekly.

“Maintaining a marriage and raising kids is hard work. You have to really make sure that your work doesn’t get in the way. That you don’t do something that is going to put too much strain on your family."

Angelina, 39, and 51-year-old Brad tied the knot in a French ceremony in August, and she has been adjusting well to married life.

After dating for more than a decade the Oscar-winning star is pleased to say she is a married lady.

“It's comforting, you know? We've been together for over ten years and have been through so many things together, to get to this point and not in any way needing to get married, but to get married because we're just that sure, it was lovely. It's nice. I'm very happy to be married,' she smiled.

“We'd always thought about getting married, but it was really only two or three weeks beforehand that we decided to do it and it all came together very quickly.”

She also touched upon the role their children played on the big day. As well as hand decorating her veil, the youngsters also made little pillows to carry the rings on and practiced with acorns in the run up to the big day.

“They're six of the funniest people we have ever met in our lives. We love being home and we love being around them because they are just so entertaining,” she beamed.
