Jennifer Aniston and Sandra Bullock are supposedly “new BFFs”.

The Hollywood A-listers are said to have gotten to know each other at a recent dinner party hosted by mutual friend Gwyneth Paltrow.

Apparently the stunning actresses have become nearly inseparable since conversing at the bash.

"Jen and Sandra are new BFFs," an insider told Us Weekly magazine. "They're very excited about the new friendship."

Jennifer, 45, and Sandra, 49, are both divorcees, as the Friends star ended her five-year marriage with Brad Pitt in 2005 and the Crash actress divorced from Jesse James in 2010 after half a decade of being wed.

They were also both engaged to Tate Donovan in the past and it is claimed these similarities sparked a strong friendship.

"Sandra and Jen have a lot in common and enjoy each other's company," the source noted. "They have been having each other over for dinner regularly."

Jennifer is currently engaged to screenwriter-and-actor Justin Theroux, with the couple having originally announced their engagement in August 2012.

Although they were all smiles while walking the red carpet at the premiere of his new HBO show The Leftovers last month, apparently there are fears the pair will not wed.

"Justin's friends tease him about being 'Mr Aniston'," a source told British magazine Look.

"None of them expect him to actually make it down the aisle - they just don't see him as the marrying kind.”

It seems Jennifer's friends are also concerned she is making the wrong decision. These include her former co-star Courteney Cox, Chelsea Handler and Sheryl Crow.

"None of their friends are supportive of this relationship,” the insider told the UK publication. “Some of Jen's girlfriends have even tried to talk her out of marrying Justin."
