Aniston addresses ‘unfair energy’

Jennifer Aniston thinks rumours about her private life are “not really fair” to other people.

The 45-year-old actress captures tabloid headlines frequently and the Friends star finds that some journalists are fixated on speculating about why she remains childless.

Jennifer reveals she and fiancé Justin Theroux rarely talk about these matters, so reading material about her so-called personal affairs in the media feels incredibly intrusive.

“It's not something that's in our everyday life, quite honestly. It's more questions that arise in a red carpet line or in an interview,” she explained to People magazine.

“I just find it to be energy that is unnecessary and not really fair for those who may or may not [have children].”

Jennifer is aware of the power of her celebrity and she doesn’t want fans to be impacted by tabloid fodder.

The star is most concerned with honouring people for their contribution in life, regardless of whether or not they decide to have children.

"Who knows what the reason is, why people aren't having kids. There's a lot of reasons that could be, and maybe it's something that no one wants to discuss,” she said.

"It's everyone's personal prerogative, that's all."

Jennifer also spoke about children during an interview with Carson Daly on US breakfast programme the Today show Wednesday.

“I don’t have this sort of checklist of things that have to be done, and if they’re not checked, then I’ve failed some part of my feminism or my value as a woman because I haven’t birthed a child,” the star said during the chat. “I’ve birthed a lot of things and feel like I’ve mothered many things, and I don’t think it’s fair to put that pressure on people.”
