Jennifer Aniston wants to star in a superhero movie.

The former Friends star has made the move into more independent films such as the upcoming Cake in recent years

And as she attended a screening of Cake sponsored by The Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer was asked by an audience member what characters she would like to play in the future.

"I think what we really want to do is work with great people, tell great stories about extremely wonderful, complicated human beings and the human experience,” Jennifer said.

However, the actress then added: “I really do want to be a superhero, too. I've said it! But wouldn't that be fun?"

Jennifer executive produced Cake, as well as starring in it herself. And her co-star Anna Kendrick says the 45-year-old’s involvement in the project was what made her decide to join the cast.

“I honestly felt more excited about the idea of her doing it then anybody else I can think of," Anna said, according to THR. "When I would say I was doing a movie with Jennifer and tell what it was about, people were surprised, and that made me really excited."

Anna added the combination of Jennifer being involved in the film and writer Patrick Tobin’s script really proved to be the deciding factor.

"I loved that it didn't underestimate its audience. It didn't hand you information, and I feel like that's one of the great weaknesses of most scripts I read,” she said. "To discover organically is so much more exciting and so much smarter and keeps you much more engaged."
