Anna Faris bonded with husband Chris Pratt over dead animals.
The 37-year-old star married the Guardians of the Galaxy actor in 2009 after they began dating two years earlier, meeting on the set of their movie Take Me Home Tonight. Anna knew that he was the man for her due to a strange hobby they both share.
"When I first met Chris, he took me up to his apartment and showed me his dead bug collection. I started crying and said the really corny line, 'We are meant to be!' because I collected them too," she recalled to British magazine Stylist. "We've now got some huge tarantulas opposite our bed, a giant walking leaf and a bat."
The couple spontaneously married in Bali while on holiday together. While the island is seen as a romantic location, the circumstances leading up to their nuptials were anything but.
"We were in Bali suffering from food poisoning - the really rough kind, you know, sharing the toilet," she revealed. "I was looking for chicken broth on the room service menu and saw the hotel also did weddings. While still feverish, Chris said, 'Let's do it.’ So the staff found us some traditional Balinese clothes and a local priest. We had no idea what was going on but we came back married."
The couple now have two-year-old son Jack together. As well as sharing their love of dead animals, the 35-year-old hunk has encouraged his wife to embrace country music, despite her initial protests.
"I didn't think I had it in me - blame my husband - but I now love everything from Dolly Parton to Emmylou Harris and Keith Urban," she admitted. "I think there's something joyful even in the saddest of country songs."
