Anna Kendrick: I need to ditch my Spears smile

Anna Kendrick often finds herself doing her "Britney Spears terrified smile".

The Pitch Perfect actress is known for her quick wit and makes no secret of the fact that she doesn't feel she fits the standard celebrity mould.

While red carpets can still be uncomfortable for the 29-year-old, her humour sees her through.

"Every year that goes by, I think that my on-camera smile is going to get easier..." she confessed to the UK edition of Glamour magazine.

"And it's got worse and worse, to the point where I'm giving that Britney Spears terrified smile, where the lips are upturned, but there's nothing but fear in the eyes."

The sequel to 2012's Pitch Perfect hits cinemas this year, with Anna rejoined by her co-stars Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow and Anna Camp for the musical movie.

It's set at college and the shooting experience took the whole cast back to their classroom days.

"It's a lot like school... Some of the girls got me into [US reality TV show] The Bachelor, so that became a group texting moment for us, and when you get back together, you remember every little quirk of everyone's personalities," she smiled.

This is arguably set to be a big year for Anna - she hits the big 3-0 in August. While many fear the milestone birthday, she can't get there fast enough.

"I feel like 29 is just total garbage, I'd rather just be 30 for two years," she laughed. "When I say I'm 29, I think I sound like I’m trying to make sure everybody knows I’m not 30... I look like a teenager."
