Bell welcomes girl

Lake Bell has given birth.

The US actress and her artist husband Scott Campbell have welcomed a baby girl into the world, confirms her representative to Us Weekly magazine.

Lake first showed off her bump in April when she stepped out at the Vanity Fair Party held during the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.

Wearing a maroon red jumpsuit, she lovingly cradled her stomach with Scott standing by her side.

Speaking a few weeks later, Lake admitted to feeling slightly overwhelmed with keeping the pregnancy quiet.

“I think you start to get overwhelmed. You can overthink it. I was just sick and tired of hiding it,” she told People magazine.

But she did open up about the many upsides of having a little one on board, namely her change in diet.

“Finally [I] can wear the dresses you can eat anything in,” she laughed.

“You don’t have to pose for a photo and suck in. You can just relax and let it just accentuate your belly.”

Apart from the impending birth of her and Scott’s baby, 35-year-old Lake has had a busy year career wise.

She leant her voice to animated flick Mr. Peabody & Sherman and also starred alongside Jon Hamm in Million Dollar Arm.

And she won’t have too much time to rest now she’s given birth as she has four new projects in the pipeline.

Luckily amongst all her movie commitments Lake still found time to get her hands dirty decorating the baby’s nursery.

“Everything is ready to go! Sterile, chillaxing, serene.... Hope baby comes early! #hopebabyunderstandssarcasim (sic),” she captioned a photo of herself on Instagram wearing a white mask and holding a paintbrush.
