Ben Affleck doesn't want to have any more children.

The 40-year-old actor is married to Jennifer Garner and loves being a dad.

The couple share daughters Violet, seven, Seraphina, four, and a 15-month-old son named Samuel.

Being a family-of-five means Ben already has his hands full.

He was recently asked by Extra if he had any plans to give his son and daughters a little baby brother or sister.

"I hope not! No, that's not going to happen," Ben laughed.

"We're in a really good place," he continued, adding, " Three is good, that's enough!"

Ben spoke to the press at an event for the University of California, Los Angeles, which honoured him as Filmmaker of the Year Thursday.

The Oscar-winning director called receiving the award "wonderful".

But he credited his marriage to Jennifer and their children as his real success in life.

"Your family is what is important," he said. "That's what really matters."

Speaking to Us Weekly magazine, Ben admitted it can be a challenge juggling a demanding career and home life.

So far it's worked out for the star.

".I'm trying to do both and you know, just figuring it out as it comes," he said.

"I certainly don't pretend to have all the answers."
