Ben Affleck is feeling the pressure as his Batman debut nears.

The Hollywood actor is no stranger to playing a superhero after starring as Daredevil in 2003. Ben's next turn saving the day is as caped crusader Batman in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, opposite Henry Cavill. As comic book fans count down the weeks until its release, Ben admits he's feeling the nerves.

"I think there is a ton of pressure on it," Ben told Variety, "I mean I would be bulls**tting you to say there isn't. If it doesn't do well that will be extremely disappointing."

The film comes on the back of 2013's Superman flick Man of Steel, and sees the two heroes at war with each other. Two more films are also in the pipeline, which Ben predicts will be a great success for Warner Bros. Studios.

"You'll see next year they are going to have a great year," he smiled. "They are now developing… probably the single greatest under-exploited IP asset in the entertainment business, the DC comic world.

"And now they have started to exploit that and you are going to see that blossom. And, when it does, it's going to be massive."

Ben's loved the experience of being involved in the new franchise, especially working with Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara, who pushed back the film's release date.

"I was really impressed by… the fact that he cared," Ben noted. "It was not like some guys, especially at that level, where it would be, 'We need a franchise movie, we just need a movie with the names 'Batman' and 'Superman' on it and it doesn't matter what it is.

"For him, that wasn't it. He was willing to take longer to make the movie to get it right to make it a movie of higher quality."
