Brand 'not writing about love life'

Russell Brand reportedly wants to focus on “important issues” other than his love life.

The 39-year-old British comedian began dating activist-and-heiress Jemima Khan last year after undergoing a highly publicised divorce from pop star Katy Perry.

Russell has written about his sexual escapades before in autobiographical series The Booky Wook, but apparently he’s not interested in revealing details about his relationship with Jemima to the world.

“Writing about his love life is not something on Russell’s agenda right now,” a source told UK newspaper The Mirror. “He wants to focus on more important issues, but is also branching into writing for children.”

Russell signed an over $2 million, two-book deal with HarperCollins in June 2008. The first tome, Articles of Faith, was release in October 2008 and largely dealt with the entertainer’s philosophical viewpoint. Booky Wook 2: This Time It’s Personal, his first autobiography, reached shelves in 2010.

It’s claimed he is putting off a third memoir in order to put his efforts into other endeavours.

Russell previously spoke about his relationship with Jemima during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show.

The star made it clear he values their partnership tremendously.

“I am in a relationship which is unlike anything I have experienced before. I really love her,” he said, before noting: “This is the happiest I’ve been in this human life.”

Russell officially divorced from singer Katy in 2012.
