Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie reportedly think it was “silly” to work during their honeymoon.
The Hollywood couple walked down the aisle in August, holding an intimate ceremony in their home Chateau Miraval in France, where they were joined by close friends and family and their six children. Shortly after their nuptials the pair jetted out to Malta to begin filming upcoming movie By the Sea, in which they play partners Vanessa and Roland and Angelina also takes on the role of director.
The actress recently admitted she knew it was a risk for the pair to work together again after their 2005 hit Mr. & Mrs. Smith and things appeared to be strained during their trip to Australia last month. They were snapped on their hotel balcony looking as though they were in a heated argument while there, and it seems Angelina and Brad have realised they perhaps didn’t make the best choice.
“The stress of working together, travelling a lot and taking care of the kids does take its toll on Brad and Ange and leads to rows,” an insider told British magazine Closer.
“In hindsight, they think it was silly to work together during their honeymoon. Brad has told Angelina he wants them to both relax their schedules for next year so they can reconnect. He just wants them to settle in one place for a while, and have a more normal life.”
However, it appears Angelina has bigger plans. The star is a big political name as well as an actress, founding cause Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) and speaking at a G8 foreign ministers meeting last year among many ventures.
“Angelina is talking about getting seriously involved in politics and Brad is worried things may be even more of a struggle,” the source noted. “He’s exhausted, and is getting increasingly frustrated.”
