Brangelina: We’re not adopting

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are not adopting another baby.

The couple, who are parents to three biological children, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne, and three adopted children, Maddox, Pax and Zahara, were reported to have met with an agency in Syria to discuss further extending their family.

However, a representative for the couple has come forward to strenuously deny the allegations.

According to People.com, the spokesperson called the claims “totally false” and “absolutely not true”.

The rumours came after Angelina revealed she had made the difficult decision to have her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed after being told she had the cancer gene, making it more likely that she might contract the disease in the future.

Following a double mastectomy two years ago, Angelina went under the knife once again in an attempt to reduce her risk of getting cancer.

In an op ed in the New York Times, Angelina explained the operation means she will never be able to have another biological child herself and is in early menopause.

Angelina adopted son Maddox back in 2002 when she was single. However, after her friendship with Brad Pitt turned romantic, he happily became a part of the little boy’s life.

The pair then adopted daughter Zahara together in 2005 and changed the last names of both children to Jolie-Pitt in 2006 to represent their love for each other and their family.

Angelina previously admitted in an interview that she never thought a family would be part of her future.

“I never thought I’d have children,” she told Elle magazine. “I never thought I’d be in love, I never thought I’d meet the right person. Having come from a broken home — you kind of accept that certain things feel like a fairy tale, and you just don’t look for them.”
