Guests at Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's nuptials apparently "giggled" when a wedding ring was dropped.

The Hollywood stars have been engaged since 2012 and finally tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in France last month.

Their six kids were heavily involved - Maddox and Pax walked their mother down the aisle, while Zahara and Vivienne poured rose petals around the venue and Shiloh and Knox took on ring bearer duties.

While things weren't seamless, luckily all the guests had a great sense of humour.

'The atmosphere was warm and informal - there were giggles and a ring was dropped," a source told Hello! and People magazine.

'It was a lovely, happy day with lots of laughter and meaning that the entire family will remember for the rest of their lives.'

And the kids' involvement didn't stop there - they also made sure the script for the day was tailored to their wants.

'All the children helped to write the vows and asked their parents to make promises to each other," the insider shared.

Angelina, 39, looked stunning in a simple Atelier Versace dress. It was the veil that stole the show, as the accessory was covered in doodles done by her brood. There were French phrases, a picture of the Eiffel Tower and animals including bunny rabbits and zebras.

"It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter. It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family," Brad and Angelina gushed.
