Brangelina's 'relaxed' wedding

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s wedding was “relaxed and full of laughter”.

The newlyweds, who met on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2004, were engaged in April 2012 and share six children. The couple tied the knot on August 23 at their home Chateau Miraval in France, and the ceremony and its planning were a family affair.

"It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter. It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family," Brad and Angelina explained to the U.S. edition of Hello magazine and People magazine.

The couple's children Maddox, 13, Pax, ten, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, eight, and six-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox all had a hand in proceedings. While Maddox and Pax walked Angelina down the aisle, Zahara and Vivienne served as flower girls, and Shiloh and Knox were ring bearers, People magazine confirms.

The children also helped Angelina define her style for the big day. Her gown was by Luigi Massi of Atelier Versace and her veil had drawings from the kids sewn onto it.

"Luigi is like family to me and I couldn't imagine anyone else making this dress," Angelina, 39, told People magazine. "He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together."

Meanwhile, the groom, 50, wore one of his son’s ties to the ceremony, reportedly held at a chapel onsite, with just around 20 friends and family members in attendance.
