Cara: Don't label me

Cara Delevingne does not appreciate being put in a box.

The British star is about to become a force to be reckoned with in Hollywood, with six new movies in production.

Prior to films, Cara was most known for her extremely successful modelling career, but she no longer takes kindly to anyone labelling her a model.

"I don't like being put in a box. I'm not a boxy person. I don't belong in a box. I belong on top of the box," she exclaimed to Empire.

"I'm proud of what I've done with modelling, but I know I can do a lot more. To be honest, when people say, 'Are you a model,' I hate that. I hate that question, 'What do you do?' As if that defines you, because it doesn't. 'What do you believe in? What do you think of this?' I'd rather be asked that."

Her next film, Paper Towns, hits cinemas next month and co-stars Nat Wolff and Halston Sage. It's based on the book of the same name, written by The Fault in Our Stars author John Green.

Cara, 22, plays free-spirited Margo and had to master a US accent for the part.

"I'd stay in it for days at a time. I grew up as the youngest kid and my family's kind of loud so I listen a lot and I copy and I parrot.

"I have to embarrass myself before I can audition. I have to go in and take off my shoes and dance around like an ass. 'Okay, she's insane.' Then I can get on with it," she added of how she won the role.
